The USMC Memorial Foundation is a 501(C)3 charitable organization registered with the state of Colorado and the IRS. All proceeds support the USMC Memorial.

History and Mission of the Memorial

Founded in 1974, completed and dedicated in 1977, the United States Marine Corps Memorial is located in Golden, Colorado. The Memorial’s mission is to honor all Marines and those who serve in other branches.

Due to the age of the Memorial, a remodel is necessary to bring the Memorial up to today’s standards and fulfill founder “Bo” Bowers’ mission.

The leadership of the USMC Memorial Foundation, Jefferson County, and numerous volunteers have developed a plan to complete the Memorial’s remodel.

The Memorial’s remodel will be funded through two sources: donations and the purchase of custom bricks. The bricks will be placed in five walkways which lead to the center of the Memorial.

The five walkways represent different aspects of acknowledging service for Marines and the other branches. Four of the walkways are reserved for Marines, the remaining walkway is dedicated to other service members. Veterans (with honorable service( and active duty) qualify to buy a brick commemorating their service.
