Our 1st Marine Memorial Golf Tournament in partnership with the NFL Alumni Association was a great success!
We sold all but 2 foursomes, all but one showed up to play, we had 8 NFL Alumni as well as basketball players and boxers show up!
The weather was beautiful, the course is impeccable, the food was four-star!
Our Iwo Jima friends were honored; Jim Blane and Al Jennings showed up to represent them! We also remembered NFL players that left the NFL to serve and were KIA!
Of note, fitting our theme or honoring Iwo Jima vets, is Capt Howard (Smiley) Johnson; Green Bay – who was on Iwo Jima when he met his demise!
We sold some silent auction items and course games that helped us actually make money on the game.
