Burrell H. Landes Jr., a native of Topeka, KS, enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve on November 10, 1955, the day after his 17th birthday, and was promoted to corporal before being commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in 1960. He was promoted to colonel before retiring in 1985 to enter the business world. His Marine Corps assignments included command of a rifle company in Viet Nam, service as a ceremonial Marine at Marine Barracks 8th & I, duty as an assistant professor at the United States Naval Academy, I-I for 1st Battalion 24th Marines in St. Louis, MO, G-3 at Parris Island, SC, and numerous other command and staff assignments throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. His combat decorations include the Silver Star Medal and two Bronze Star Medals with combat V.

Burrell worked as a Regional Manager for Pansophic Systems, and VP of Sales of Customer Insight Company before orchestrating the sale of that company and founding his high tech sales and leadership consulting firm, BHL Associates.

He and his wife have been married for 54 years and live in Littleton, CO. They have three children and six grandchildren. Both sons, one brother, and his brother-in-law proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corps.
