Robert enlisted in the Marine Corps at age 19. He served 4 years of active duty between Kaneohe Bay Hawaii and Camp Lejune in North Carolina. Following his honorable discharge from the Marines in 2001 he moved to Arizona to pursue a Technical Degree in HVAC at UTI.
He re-enlisted in the Marine Reserves from 2002-2003 and decided to transfer his service to the Army National Guard as an Engineer in 2003. He remained in the National Guard for approximately 8 1/2 years, also completing one tour of duty in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006-2007. He was awarded a medical honorable discharge in 2010.
Robert now lives as a civilian in Aurora, CO with his family. He currently works as a Fork Lift Technician and spends his free time volunteering with his wife with the Buckley Field Young Marines. He enjoys a variety of hobbies to include shooting, reloading ammunition, photography, and off-roading among many others.
