Tom Krueger enlisted in the Marine Corps in his Senior year of high school in 1976 and served until 2000. His career included time as an instructor at the Motor Transport School, a Drill Instructor, a Motor Transport Chief, meritorious promotions to PFC and later to Staff Sergeant, deployments on numerous operations with the 2nd LAV Battalion, deployments with 1st Battalion 2nd Marines to the Mediterranean and to Somalia, running of the Incidental Drivers School, and promotion to Gunnery Sergeant. He formally retired at Camp Pendleton, CA in February 2000.
