Veteran’s Day Ceremony at the USMC Memorial

Join the USMC Foundation on November 5th at the United States Marine Corps Memorial in Golden, Colorado for the USMC Foundation’s 2022 Veteran’s Day Ceremony. 

Agenda and activities include:

Toys for Tots Collection

USMC Combat Logistics Battalion 453 will be collecting gifts for the Toys for Tots program from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Raffle Drawing

The Pike’s Peak detachment of the Marine Corps League is selling raffle tickets to raise funds for the USMC Foundation. Hunters, patriots, fishers, and those who love the outdoors will find the raffle full of enticing prizes. Some of the prizes include:

  • A custom-made AR15, designed by a Marine for the Foundation with a value of $600.
  • A Rush Woodworks flag valued at $600.
  • An Elkhorn Flyrod made specifically for the Foundation and valued at $600.

 

Veteran’s Day Ceremony

The Veteran’s Day Ceremony begins at 1:45 p.m. and features the Marine Corps Color Guard (Recruiting Station Denver), Young Marines, Bag Pipes, a flyover by the award-winning Rocky Mountain Renegades, a dove release, and a bell ringing ceremony. Special guests include Iwo Jima marines and guest speaker Master Gunner Sergeant Stephen Gould (Retired). 

Patriotic music will be featured throughout the day and the Iwo Jim float will be on hand. For those who love to capture images through photography and share experiences on social media, this will be a great opportunity.
