    • Marcelo’s Custom Painting along with Richard Blakeman and our Memorial Operations Co-Chief, Dave Bernard worked hard to remove the graffiti initially the day after it was done.  Scott Kulp, a Marine with Colorado Power Clean, worked tirelessly afterward to finish cleaning the graffiti and remove efflorescence from the Memorial’s stonework as much as was possible.

How the USMC Memorial Changed a Life: Cesar’s Story of Healing and Hope

Join us on November 9th, 2024, for a special Veterans Day Ceremony at the United States Marine Corps Memorial. This year, we are honoring the service and sacrifice of all our veterans and recognizing the Memorial as a place of healing and remembrance. The Memorial is more than a tribute to the past—it’s a place where veterans and their families can reflect, heal, and find hope.

In the video above, Paula Sarlls, President of the USMC Memorial Foundation, explains how the Memorial has impacted countless lives. One such example is Cesar Estrada, a veteran who found solace and strength during a difficult time in his life. His story is a powerful reminder of the Memorial’s ongoing significance in the lives of those who visit it.

By supporting the Memorial, you help maintain its mission of providing comfort and honoring the legacies of all who have served.

How to Support:

  • Donate through our “Buy a Brick” program and have a veteran’s name engraved on the Memorial’s pathways.
  • From now until November 30th, 2024, your donations will be matched up to $1500, directly supporting the Memorial’s maintenance and renovation efforts.
